Agribusiness em questão: a emergência da agricultura multifuncional
Abstract
Neste artigo procura-se indicar que a ‘’multifuncionalidade’’ da agricultura tem sido adotada como instrumento de desenvolvimento rural pela União Européia. Essa característica da atividade agrícola se tornou mais relevante que a ‘’pluriatividade’’ dos agricultores. A primeira parte coloca em evidencia, de um lado, o forte sistema de subsidio da Política Agrícola Comum (PAC), responsável pela manutenção de uma agricultura produtiva, e, do outro lado, as medidas de menor importância financeira, que apóiam o exercício de uma agricultura multifuncional. A segunda parte discute as diferentes iniciativas de uma fração considerável de agricultores que praticam uma agricultura centrada na qualidade dos produtos, no respeito ao meio ambiente e na valorização dos territórios menos adaptados à agricultura produtivista. As conquistas e os resultados práticos nessa segunda direção têm colocado em questão o modelo agrícola dominante na Europa dos Quinze.Downloads
