'Reforma agrária de mercado' no Brasil: um sonho que se tornou dívida
Abstract
Este artigo resgata o processo de implantação do modelo proposto pelo Banco Mundial de 'reforma agrária de mercado' no Brasil, suas implicações e consequências. Situa esta implantação no contexto das políticas e programas do governo Fernando Henrique Cardoso, explicitando críticas e oposições dos movimentos de luta pela terra. A partir da situação atual, a manutenção do programa no governo Luis Inácio Lula da Silva, problematiza alguns aspectos político-ideológicos implicados na implantação do programa de compra e venda (Crédito Fundiário) como mecanismo de acesso à terra no Brasil, especialmente o endividamento das famílias contempladas.
