A regularização fundiária e as novas formas de expropriação rural na Amazônia
Abstract
Nos últimos anos tem se evidenciado avanço de um conjunto de agroestratégias relativas à reestruturação do mercado formal de terras com efeitos sociais expressivos na configuração fundiária amazônica. Tomando dois municípios do Sul do Amazonas como foco de análise (Lábrea e Apuí), este artigo procura examinar as práticas de regularização fundiária em curso nas áreas públicas federais da Amazônia Legal nos últimos anos e seu impacto sobre comunidades rurais. O texto descreve como as iniciativas de regularização fundiária vêm produzindo uma corrida pela expansão e formalização de posses, as práticas de descaracterização de territórios previamente destinados à reforma agrária promovidas por entidades do Estado, assim como formas violentas de expropriação de comunidades tradicionais desencadeadas pelas elites fundiárias.Downloads
