Resistência e empoderamento no mundo rural
Abstract
Este trabalho faz uma discussão sobre as formas de resistência e de empoderamento que os agricultores familiares estabelecem e que os levam a protagonizar processos de mudança e ressignificação do rural em que vivem. Baseia-se em estudos realizados no Paraná e analisa: a) a criação da Fetraf-Sul, uma organização sindical de agricultores familiares que pretendeu inovar nos princípios de representação; b) a formação da Rede Ecovida que se organizou com o objetivo de garantir a certificação participativa dos agricultores segundo os padrões da agricultura orgânica; e c) as estratégias que eles estabelecem para contornar as restrições impostas às suas práticas de produção e extrativismo na APA em que vivem. O texto se refere a diferentes formas de resistência e luta que buscam objetivos similares: a afirmação do caráter muldimensional da pequena agricultura familiar; a construção de estratégias alternativas aos modelos hegemônicos de agricultura e ruralidade; a reafirmação de sua identidade como agricultores que ganham a nova dimensão de atores nos processos de “desenvolvimento sustentável”.
