A trajetória do programa de produção orgânica da Cotrimaio
Abstract
Este trabalho procura indicar a necessidade de superar interpretações lineares e visões deterministas predominantes na análise de programas de conversão à agricultura orgânica. A partir do programa da Cotrimaio, a soja não-transgênica voltada para um nicho de mercado externo evolui para uma produção orgânica diversificada para mercados regionais, apontando a complexidade desses processos. Trabalhando o contexto e recuperando-se a gênese e a evolução do referido programa, o presente texto mostra a importância da percepção do processo de conversão à agricultura orgânica como uma construção social. A análise da experiência indica que a tentativa de estabelecer a agricultura orgânica como parte da agricultura pode não ter como resultado único a perda dos seu princípios, mas redundar em importantes mudanças na própria agricultura.
