A atualidade da obra Société Rurale et Urbanisation de Placide Rambaud para a compreensão das transformações do campo brasileiro
Abstract
Este artigo traz contribuições para a compreensão do desenvolvimento rural no Brasil a partir do processo vivido pela França após a II Guerra Mundial, relatado por Placide Rambaud. Rambaud se dedicou a descrever o processo de urbanização da sociedade rural na França, destacando a sua heterogeneidade. Para o sociólogo francês, esse processo evidenciava a diferenciação social dos grupos rurais, destacando que o mesmo podia causar diferentes níveis de dependência e desigualdade nas sociedades rurais. O autor considerava que o projeto de desenvolvimento podia ser vivido pelos rurais de formas opostas, tanto em termos da possibilidade de produção de uma nova cultura, como na forma de alienação.
