Indicações Geográficas e qualificação no setor vitivinícola brasileiro
Abstract
O artigo analisa a institucionalização das indicações geográficas para vinhos no Brasil. A ênfase recai sobre as disputas valorativas que se estabelecem no interior de fóruns híbridos onde diferentes atores buscam construir um acordo coletivo acerca das normas e padrões de produção. A partir de uma leitura convencionalista, os autores destacam as distintas compreensões de qualidade presentes nos discursos e nas práticas dos atores envolvidos com a construção deste mecanismo de certificação. Derivados de pesquisa conduzida na Serra Gaúcha (RS) e nos Vales das Uvas Goethe (SC), os resultados demonstram o conflito (mas também a hibridização) entre valores mercantis/industriais e domésticos/patrimoniais.
