Cultura, sustentabilidade e poderes assimétricos: uma narrativa sobre a renda da natureza na contemporaneidade
Abstract
Este ensaio problematiza a sustentabilidade como uma matriz discursiva que procura colocar em foco os processos associados às relações da cultura humana e natureza depois da década de 1970. Nucleada na noção de sustentabilidade ambiental hegemônica, referendada pelas Nações Unidasno Relatório Brundtland e incorporada nas práticas de várias instituições transnacionais e nacionais, esta matriz discursiva aglutina uma verdadeira nebulosa ambientalista de discursos críticos e contra-hegemônicos. Argumenta-se que tal matriz discursiva, bem como boa parte dos outros discursos, não problematiza a apropriação privada da natureza legitimada pelos Estados burgueses. Ainda, examina assimetrias do poder associado ao domínio privado do território, o monopólio de classe sobre a natureza, os usos capitalistas do ecossistema e a questão da sustentabilidade.
