Agricultura familiar no Sul do Brasil – de uma exclusão produtivista a uma exclusão certificada?
Abstract
Esse artigo procura reconstituir, com base em textos e análises que lhe foram consagrados, a história da agricultura orgânica (AO) no Sul do Brasil. Ele sublinha que a abordagem macroeconômica e política que marca, desde o início, a AO brasileira se diferencia daquela registrada na Europa do Oeste, onde a agricultura orgânica tem um percurso mais linear e impulsionado pelos consumidores. Assim, a construção e a transferência mimética dos sistemas de reconhecimento institucional e jurídico europeus podem induzir no Brasil efeitos perversos, com a exclusão de importantes setores da agricultura familiar, para os quais a AO aparecia como alternativa de sobrevivência.
